Kira Hoffelmeyer is a digital strategist, media leader, and journalist-turned-entrepreneur with a knack for building smart, effective digital systems that actually work. She’s the founder of a digital consulting company focused on helping Utah business owners strengthen their digital presence through strategy, analytics, audience growth, and content that converts. Her work bridges editorial instinct with business-minded execution — because great storytelling still needs a plan.

With a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Oregon and more than 15 years of experience across broadcast, digital, and radio journalism, Kira’s career has spanned nearly every newsroom role imaginable: producer, writer, reporter, anchor, editor, and newsroom leader. She’s worked with outlets including KSL NewsRadio, KSL TV, The Park Record, Emerald Media Group, and KLCC, earning a Murrow Award along the way.

Kira is often described as a “pint-sized firecracker”—equal parts strategic and energetic, with a sometimes-laughy, bubbly approach that keeps teams moving forward. She’s deeply passionate about high-quality content, sustainable workflows, and empowering people to do their best work without burning out. After joining KSL NewsRadio in 2016, she rose from part-time roles to become the youngest-ever Executive Producer of Jeff Caplan’s Afternoon News, and later led digital strategy and innovation across both KSL NewsRadio and KSL TV.

Today, Kira brings that experience into her consulting work, partnering with organizations to develop digital strategies, optimize workflows, grow audiences, and make data-driven decisions without losing their voice. She specializes in digital transformation, team and workflow optimization, social strategy, analytics, and translating “what the data says” into clear, actionable next steps.

Outside of client work, Kira serves on the board of Amplify Utah, where she helps student journalists get their work published in professional newsrooms across the state. She also works with Emerald Media Group as a digital consultant, guiding both students and professional staff in building and executing strong digital strategies. In January 2025, she added “associate instructor” to the mix, teaching at the University of Utah and helping the next generation of journalists and communicators sharpen their digital skills.

When she’s not working, Kira is managing the chaos of three dogs and a cat, running almost exclusively on coffee and momentum. She’s fully, proudly Orangetheory-obsessed (schedule built around class times, obviously), hoards notebooks she swears she’ll finish, and always has a camera within reach “just in case.” Most of her best ideas happen post-workout or somewhere near the mountains — and if there’s a color-coded system involved, she’s already winning.
